Udaipur, known as the city of lakes is home to magnificent palaces that have been transformed into luxury hotels which tell a story about their heritage and commercialisation. In addition, these hotels have had a huge impact on Udaipur’s tourism, stimulating market growth and setting the stage for sustainable luxury. Our study examines the conversions of the palaces to heritage hotels in Udaipur.
