Dastangoi-Tales of Phonix, AY 2013-14

This academic report, first and foremost, is centered on the storytelling “art-form” (why this term is problematic is a matter of debate) of Dastangoi- let it be noted, that it is an Urdu Storytelling art form.Dastangoi as a storytelling tradition in the past and an art form in the present provides an ample opportunity for comparison. This being said, we will examine the current condition of this tradition with its features.
